My name is Martin Hiller and I am an inquisitive innovator who loves smart solutions. Exploring new areas is a natural progression rather than an obstacle. I am a chameleon who finds myself in all situations and completes all tasks with passion and my name is Magnus Axelsson and I am a passionate craftsman who balances my industry knowledge with an enthusiasm for innovation. I am a businessman with a mind for finance and investments.
How did the idea for your campaign come about? Describe what your campaign does.
AB Hicet’s flagship, Drymo, is a self-sealing expander for installation in wet areas. Drymo’s simplicity creates security for the craftsman and the end user. Drymo expands partly behind the hole to create buoyancy (as is own rule) and partly in the hole to close it tight. It makes installation simpler, faster and safer.
In 2009 I went see to my childhood friend Magnus with a thought about how we could solve a well-known problem. This was the start of a product what we now call Drymo. Drymo is both patented and approved and our ambition is to internationalize the product when we have a good spread here in Sweden. Drymo is fully owned by AB Hicet but it is developed in close cooperation with leading market players. The challenge is not to sell the product to retailers or to informed craftsmen but rather getting the product from the store shelf to broad users. We are now looking for people who want to be a part of this.
Why did you decide on crowdfunding? What about FundedByMe appealed to you?
Crowdfunding, also called “folkfinansiering” in Swedish, is a method for entrepreneurs to find funding for their products/services by appealing to a large number of stakeholders, who with a small investment per person will achieve a sufficient amount of capital to move forward with i. e. the product developments or internationalization of the company. By crowdfunding a special target group of investors, who also acts as ambassadors for the company, will be extreme valuable when new products will be launched. The excellent tool for this is FundedByMe!

AB Hicet wants to
– Increase the market shares of Drymo in Sweden
– Invest in a broader product portfolio
– Introduce Drymo to the international market (export the products)
By targeting the craftsmen within VVS and Building sector we will have 200 ambassadors for our products. They will use the products as professionals, they will network the products and they will buy the products for their own business.
We need capital for initial investments in typed bound tools for producing of new products and costs for patent, tests, license, etc. as well as costs for marketing the products abroad.
